Delaney Rose Blog – What’s Going On

Wow it’s been quite a month.
I’ve been working on my website with Century Music Group and very soon we will have everything awesome.
On our full moon gathering in White Rock, B.C., I wrote a new song and as I worked with my band, they recommended we go with a lullaby sound. I’ve been singing it and love the response with the audience. It kinda chills you nicely down a bit.
It was great to be back in Nashville July 15 to July 25th. I was down there last year for Tin Pan South and met my extended family and especially Clayton Quisenberry knocked my out with his bookings for him and I to play tons of writer nights all over Nashville are. Seeing some of the results of the May flood was humbling. I grew up in a town in Manitoba, Canada, with a flood going past my farm every spring and know how devastating it can be. When I sang at the Blue Bar in Nashville, I met a guy who booked me who lost everything from his great home. Anyways, it was apart of the experience and my prayers go out to the renewing of Nashville.
It looks like I am going to be busy with festivals in Washington and Canada. I am really looking forward to kicking it up with my percussionist and backup singer, Marke Andrie. I now live in White Rock, and we have an annual Spirit of the Sea Festival along the ocean and this will be my 3rd year performing. For some reason, I am really stoked about this one.
Also, at Point Roberts Music Festival, I will be performing at the huge marina, as the headliner. This will be my first time there. We are going to kick this festival up. I love it when Marke sings backup, he really has to get into his high voice. But it works. I just sang at my home space, BC Songwriter’s Showcase in Langley, B.C. and Marke’s buddies were amazed at how awesome our voices sound. And it was a fluke cause at one of my shows in White Rock, I was told that I could only have 3 one stage, so I looked at Marke and said “You are going be my backup singer. Cool, eh?
